Project Pre-Planning

During the pre-planning phase, Ishi Project Managers work with the Stakeholders and Business Sponsors to:

  • Identify and compile assumptions & constraints
  • Help clients develop business scope documents
Project Planning

The planning phase is the key phase in our Project Management life-cycle. This involves:

  • Setting up Communication Plans and Protocols
  • Construction of a deliverable-oriented work breakdown statement (WBS)
  • Effort Estimation: range-based and functional point analysis
  • Duration Estimation: range-based
  • Network Diagrams: involves sequencing of tasks and identification of critical path
  • Resource Allocation: involves identifying the right resources for the project
  • Risk & Opportunity Identification, Assessment & Planning - involves identifying risks, categorizing risks and developing response plans for each risk & opportunity
  • Re-Estimation of duration and re-developing the network digrams based on resources and risks
  • Creation of Accountability Matrix
  • Review of artifacts produced: involves reviewing the WBS, estimates, communication plans and risk documents
Project Execution & Control

In this phase of the life-cycle, Ishi’s project managers manage and control the execution of the process. The steps in this phase are:

  • Communication Management
  • Continuous Risk Management
  • Change Control Process Management
  • Resolving conflicts
  • Conducting regular progress review meetings
  • Reporting progress to stakeholders & business sponsors
Project Closure

Project closure is key to the success of subsequent projects as well as for refining the overall process. This involves:

  • Conducting Phase Reviews: after the completion of every phase in the project, Ishi’s project managers review that phase in the context of the overall project and refine the plans based on the outcomes
  • Conducting post-project reviews: after the completion of the project, Ishi’s project managers conduct project review meetings to review the process and gather data for subsequent projects
  • Dissemination of Lessons Learned: after the completion of all the reviews, the learnings are disseminated to the team members, Ishi’s PMO and the senior management at the client
