Frameworks and tools from the Apache Software Foundation’s Jakarta project have featured prominently in numerous solutions that have been developed by Ishi engineers. These include Struts, Maven, Cactus, Lucene, Tomcat, Cocoon, Axis, Xerces and Xalan. This site is hosted on an Apache web server and we have frequently used Apache web server in developing our J2EE solutions by integrating it with commercial-grade application servers such as BEA WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server.

As a persistence framework, Hibernate presents an attractive alternative in the development of enterprise systems. An exploration of Hibernate’s architecture presents a valuable learning experience for developers of enterprise systems. We use and recommend Hibernate when developing J2EE applications.
